Final week day 5
I need to rant.
Sometimes I wonder why I bother so much about the myFLASHbox website. I get ignorant users who accuse me of things which are not true or worse still, blame me when I try to improve on existing stuff. Why can't they get their facts right before commenting? I put in more effort on developing the FLASHbox and the myFLASHbox.sg website than on my schoolwork lo. Get Cbox or some other tagboard if you think FLASHbox is not good enough for you. Save my bandwidth and webspace also... plus reduce clutter of the database. I don't get paid for doing this.
Ok, enough of ranting... now for today's happenings. Was supposed to accompany friend to Woodlands to count cars but decided not to go in the end. I guess comparing waking up at 6am to go to an ulu place to count cars and sleeping, sleeping is the more attractive option :P Well, slept till about 11am in the end.
Spent some time in the afternoon blogging... then dunno what I do liao. Oh, took a nap in the late afternoon though. My runny nose is making me drowsy I think. Will need to drink more water. Hmmm, went over to Anchorpoint in the evening for dinner... KFC. Yes... I know I'm not feeling well, but I cannot resist the urge to want to satisfy this craving of mine.
There were no seats at first, so my friend and I went over to Cold Storage (there got no NTUC FairPrice) to do some grocery shopping (basically get potato chips) before going back to KFC for dinner. Wanted to eat the Fiery Flava meal, but they only had one piece of it left... anyway, took that one piece and the rest were the hot and crispy kind. I think I still prefer original ba... if the size of the original seasoned ones didn't shrink by that much.
Just a recall of the conversation that I had with the counter staff at KFC.
Me: I'll like to have the 2-piece Fiery Flava meal. Two sets.
Staff: There's only one piece of it left. You'll have to wait.
Me: Oh, ok, I'll wait.
Staff: We don't fry chickens here, you'll have to wait about 30 minutes.
Me: (Diao... should just tell me earlier mah) Ah, ok, then I'll take that one piece. The rest I'll have crispy.
Walked over to the food court to get some fruit.
Me: Ah, 我要一片honeydew. orange的.
Uncle: Orange的不是honeydew, 是太阳瓜.
Me: >.<"
I think I'm not having a good day.
Final week day 4
Woke up super early... to go down to Science Park 1 to count cars with my friend. That was from morning 7.30am to 9.30am. Then headed over to Central Library to get some books. After that was lunch at Engin canteen. Ate from the Indonesian Panggang stall. Hee, at the Grilled Set or something... it's rice with grilled chicken leg and a fried fish fillet. Nice, very nice. Heh. Had fruits... a slice of papaya and a slice of honeydew. The papaya tasted better.
I headed home after lunch. Ah, didn't manage to get any rest because I fiddled with myFLASHbox stuff again. Feeling flu-ish, so I ate a flu tablet before heading out, to meet a friend for movie and dinner at Suntec.
Ehz, left home a little late, so I was late for 5 minutes. Meeting this friend for the first time and I was late le :P Fortunately he was a little late as well, so it's not too bad. Queued for the tickets to "King Kong" and missed a little of the show, since we only manage to get the tickets about 5 minutes into the show.
I quite enjoyed the movie... rather interesting I would say, but it still kept to the version of King Kong that I knew ba. I shall not reveal any details of the movie here, but I would say that it was a good 3-hours ba... didn't feel that time was passing slowly or what.
Dinner at NYDC~ I had a Romeo and Juliet (baked ziti pasta with bacon and sweet corn) and a Lemon Shiver drink. My friend's treat. Hee. Afterwards, we went over to Ben and Jerry's and I treated him back. Well, his treat was more expensive ah. Anyway, first time trying Ben and Jerry's ice-cream... and first time seeing mint ice-cream that is white in colour. Quite nice ba, the ice-cream, but a little expensive.
Went home after that le... tired
Final week day 3
I woke up rather early... the sky was a little cloudy, but my friend and I decided to go for a tan/swim anyway. It was initially rather cloudy when we reached the pool, but the sky soon cleared and it got unimaginably hot at about 12.30pm or so. Anyway, the weather forecast said that it would rain at about 2pm. Hmmm, true enough, the sky started to get cloudy again at about 2pm. Ah, don't remember if it really rained afterwards, but I think there was not much sun after that.
Lunch was settled at the hawker centre opposite the swimming pool. Ehz, decided that I could have over-tanned le, so went over to the nearby NTUC FairPrice to get the Banana Boat Aloe Vera Gel. Alas, the Unity pharmacy within that NTUC FairPrice has been erm, "removed". Haiz... had to walk over to the Dawson's Place's one in the end. Good thing there was a 15% discount for Banana Boat products, so I bought another bottle of tanning oil since the current one finishing liao.
The late afternoon after the swim was spent fiddling with the myFLASHbox website again. I've been wanting to come up with a better deployment code for the FLASHboxes so that users will have transparency from my internal deployment changes, but I haven't been successful. Well, this time, I finally managed to do it with Javascript. A bit happy :P It's just a simple deployment code... but I'm not sure if I have made it good enough (as in able to accomodate future internal FLASHbox deployment changes). Only time will tell...
Final week day 2
Given that this is a backdated entry, it's no surprise that I have already forgotten most of the things that have happened.
I only remember going out for dinner at the coffee shop just beside the MRT Station. Ehz, ate Char Siew Rice again, but this time, the stall uncle suggested that I get a bowl of 水饺 soup as well. First time trying the soup. Not bad ah... quite nice.
The later part of the night was spent fiddling with the myFLASHbox website. Yep, I got considerably annoyed by requests for IP address banning for the FLASHbox... so I finally implemented it. Who cares if users ban their own friends by accident. I'll just leave it to them to do whatever they want with the function. 不管了, 烦死人了.
Boxing day
*punch punch*
Hmmm, spent the early part of the day sleeping. I think I'll need to train myself to sleep less... I seem to be sleeping all the time these days. Need to spend my time doing work instead of sleeping.
The afternoon was spent packing my computer desk and wiping the window grilles. My room should be significantly neater now. My computer desk is rather empty now... not really used to it :P I went to give tuition in the evening... uncle cooked fried rice with fried egg and dory fillet. Hee. Nice... but the fish was a little salty.
Reached home, then continued packing my room again. Ah, a lot of rubbish to pack lah.
notsniw packs his room, again
Ah, yea... packed my room again. Well, this time I threw away about 10 NTUC FairPrice plastic bags worth or rubbish and also a few boxes (those that previously housed CDROM drives and graphics card etc). How much time did I spend? Ha, erm, the whole night... from about 7pm to 11pm. The room still looks messy though. Oh well, it will be emptier once I finish my studies and throw away four years worth of notes and assignments.
Looking forward to the day when I can have a room of my own :P I shall "psycho" my parents to allow me to convert the study room to my personal room after I graduate. I've already mentioned it to my mom. The initial response seems positive.
Ok, anyway, I didn't manage to wake up in time for this morning's Christmas service in church :/ Reached there towards the end of it. Heard that yesterday night's caroling was fun. Ah, received a few Christmas presents... then friend drove me over to Qian Xi Restaurant for the church's Christmas Lunch. First time attending it. Not bad ah, a I think 7-course Chinese lunch. It was quite filling... got cold platter, cereal prawns, yam thingy, fish, vegetable, roast chicken and dessert (almond longan with sea coconut... syrup tasted a little like diluted "pi2 pa2 gao1").
Hmmm, my friend drove me home after that before sending his girlfriend and her mom home. That should be all for the day ba. The late afternoon was spent making the two Christmas stamps in the previous entry. Quite easy with Adobe Photoshop. I have always wanted to know how it is done. Now I finally did it. Heh
Merry Christmas!
Merry Christmas to all =]
Sleepy Saturday
Well, actually, everyday's a sleepy day.
The date to today's entry was edited... because I was already asleep at this time. Went to give tuition in the late morning. My aunt bought Vegetarian Bee Hoon for me. She queued half an hour for it loh... Ehz, not specially for me lah... for her daughter. Did I mention earlier that my cousin had high fever? Well, she's ok now. It wasn't dengue or malaria or anything.
I went for the church's sunset service in the evening. Was just in time for it. I went over to Chinatown for a walk after that, then went home, but dropped by NTUC FairPrice to get some bread. Ah, felt tired, so I slept early. I'm just drifting... drifting...
Friday le...
So fast, the end of another week and nothing much done...
I went out for dinner today... Haven't been going out much this week except for serious stuff. My friend and I went over to Tiong Bahru Plaza for dinner at Sakae Sushi. Small outlet, many people. We had to queue for about 15 minutes ba... didn't really take note of the time. Settled for a counter seat... if not have to wait even longer. Doesn't really matter where I'm seated anyway, as long as I get to eat :P
Ehz, had Chawanmushi, Vegetable Tempura, Fried Toufu, Baby Octopuses, Fried Salmon and some other sushi. First time trying out the pink colour preserved ginger... quite nice. I ate quite a lot of it in the end. We almost finished the whole container. Anyway, turned out that there was a discount of 10% for the UOB debit card. Heh, equivalent to not having to pay the 10% service charge. The first time I used my UOB mini debit card... a bit weird, the card is so small.
It was already quite late by the time I got home. I'll be giving tuition in the late morning later (now already Saturday liao). Might go down to church in the evening for service. Won't be posting the spam email record thingy anymore... I think it's a waste of time :P Ah well, no urge to do anything these days anyway.
Another day
My entries are getting shorter... nothing much to write about. /me leads a boring life.
I've been sleeping a lot these days... normally only waking up in the afternoon or so. It's a "rotting" kind of life. Somehow, I feel a slight sense of being lost. I don't really know what I'm doing... or rather, if whatever I'm doing is right or wrong. Perhaps I need a break... a different kind of break... to get some focus back into my life.
I went to give tuition in the evening. It was drizzling. My female cousin was running a high fever of 39.3 degrees celcius and my aunt brought her to the hospital, so I only tutored my male cousin for about an hour. It was about 9.15pm when I left their place. The weather was cool and it was still drizzling slightly I think. It was rather misty though...
I went for a jog at night with a friend who was staying over to use the Internet. Was a little early when we reached Ridout Macs. There was still quite a lot of people there. Anyway, I decided to make use of my points accumulated from the past purchases. First time using the points... I used 640 out of my available 960 points to exchange for a Fillet'O'Fish and a McSpicy.
It's no longer called McSpicy Double... since they reduced it to a thicker piece of meat instead of two thin pieces. Ah... dunno issit because I'm hungry, but the McSpicy was very nice :P The meat patty was juicy and erm, meaty. Nice. Ha. Tastes a little like KFC's Zinger Burger but less dry ba. I bought an apple pie as well... long time since I last ate it.
Results released
Well, got my results today... better than what I expected ba. A little disappointed with my Genes and Society though :/ I only got a B+ for it. I was expecting something in the range of As. Anyway, happy with my results... at least I'm still my CAP is still within the 3rd class region. I've only got three graded modules this time and my grades are in the full range of Bs, so my average is a B loh.
I was at Woodlands Wafer Fab Park for a while in the afternoon... then headed over to Yew Tee MRT Station. A friend of mine lives near there and I went over to get a few dwarf hamsters from him. It was dinner (I ate Lontong :P) after that and I headed home.
Nothing much I guess... haven't been doing what I have to do...
The past few days [Part 2]
Monday, 19 December 2005
I had a long long day. Accompanied a friend over to Alexandra Distripark early in the morning at about 6.30am. Bought breakfast of fried beehoon and mee prior to that and ate it there. There was a Malay coffee shop near the entrance to Labrador Park and I walked over to get tea, since it was a cold cold morning. Basically, we were there to count vehicles going in and out of Alexandra Distripark.
It was the same thing in the evening... cold too, because it rained. Went for an evening swim after that before having dinner at the hawker centre near my place... ate fried carrot cake, popiah and chao kway teow.
Tuesday, 20 December 2005
I was in NUS today for lunch. Heh. Went over to Biz fac to have lunch. Western :P I had Basil Salmon with Spaghetti and my friend who was with me had a Fried Fish Fillet with Spaghetti. The Western stall uncle gave me a scoop of mashed potato for free. He always gives me free additions when I go over for meals. Lidat I also paiseh don't dare to go le :/
Accompanied my friend to Central Library, then I went over to SOC for a while before heading over to Science Park I to count vehicles again. Ehz, first time there... interesting that some bus stops in there have no shelter and seats. We managed to find a mini bus stop with shelter and seat and settled down to count vehicles. Sweaty... and I'm sure the mosquitoes had a good feast.
Dinner was Mee Rebus at Dawson's Place. I've been eating Malay food... had the urge to try the Lontong :P It's been quite some time since I last ate it... and that was when I was in NS. Hmmm, ok, very long time since I last ate it then.
The past few days [Part 1]
Ok, I haven't been updating my bloggie for a few days, mainly because I'm busy helping a friend with some stuff. Anyway, here's a quick update of things that have been going on. Not much really, since my tiny brain cannot remember much.
Saturday, 17 December 2005
I reached home at about 5pm in the evening... a quick six days of ICT. I quite enjoyed it, although there were inevitably some unhappiness and frustrations. Not sure if I'll be able to attend the next ICT next year at the end of July, since I would most probably already be in NIE and cannot defer from my studies to attend ICT.
I most probably slept early, since I was really tired... only slept about three hours the previous night.
Sunday, 18 December 2005
Still suffering the effects of not having enough sleep during the ICT... I slept till the afternoon I think. Helped my parents with cleaning the house, since they have been painting the house. Must do my part also ah... since I did not help with the painting, I should help with the cleaning up.
I went for a long jog at night with a friend. Jogged all the way down to after Delta Swimming Complex and to Ridout MacDonalds after that. A long jog I think. Both of us had a McChicken each (S$2 only ah... :P) and I bought a regular ice lemon tea. The journey back home was spent strolling and eating an ice cream cone. It was already 1am by the time I got home I think.
ICT 2005 Day 6
Woke up at 6.45am for breakfast, then went back to sleep till about 8am before the day's activities began. Drew some spare arms, cleaned them, helped sort out the rifle cleaning kit items to be returned to the armskote, had lunch, packed my bags and cleared the rubbish.
Had to attend a debrief in the company lecture room, do some camp area cleaning before we were allowed to outprocess at about 4pm. Considering that we were all ready to leave at 1.30pm, it was a slow and long 2.5-hour wait.
Took a bus to Choa Chu Kang MRT Station, then took the train home...
ICT 2005 Day 5
Combat shoot... The day spanned from morning 5.30am till the next day morning 3am.
It was a long ride to the place where the combat shoot was conducted... because hor, the 5-tonner vehicle commander thought that it was at SAFTI range. We went there, then went back to the correct location, Area B.
The morning shoot was not bad... but my weapon IA, causing me to shoot two rounds less. I was too slow for one bound, so shot less one round. A total of three rounds not fired. I had a score of 16/20 for the day shoot, which means that I missed one round out of the 17 that I fired. Not too bad ba. The rest of the afternoon was spent chatting with my platoonmates.
Night shoot was quite terrible... only managed to get 4/20 :/ I should have just used the rear-sight aperture and the promethium tip instead of my LAD. I think it's totally off the target lo. Sianz. Fortunately, the total score of the detail which I was in qualified for the marksmanship award, so each person in the detail will get S$200.
Reached back camp at about 2am, sent weapon, bathed and ate nightsnack... then 3am liao.
ICT 2005 Day 4
Today was a rather relaxing day, since it was a long day yesterday. A talk on NS pay matters in the morning by a from-far-look-not-bad lady, followed by lunch, then a dry run for the combat shoot tomorrow.
Well, first time doing the combat shoot, so the dry run was rather problematic since most of us were not exactly sure of the procedures to follow and the sequence of the combat shoot. It was much better after the dry run though, but I still had a few queries which were unanswered. We're the second armour unit to do the combat shoot, the first reservist armour unit to do it.
Nights off in the evening... my friends and I decided to go over to Jurong Point's Swensens for ice-cream. I had a Seafood Mushroom Chowder and a Merri Mint ice-cream. The soup was in a sourdough bread "cup". Very very filling. Anyway, the Merri Mint ice-cream has a cherry and the stalk was quite long. So I tried using my mouth to tie a knot on it. Well, managed to succeed after quite a while :P
Returned to camp soon after...
ICT 2005 Day 3
Woke up very early in the morning... about 5.15am. Drew arms, then breakfast.
Got ready and waited for the bus to come and fetch us to the range. It was a confirmation shoot for the day zeroing yesterday. Day shoot involved firing 3 magazines of 4 rounds each, all at 100m. I was firing M16 using my M203. 4/4 for figure 11 foxhole supported, 4/4 for figure 12 prone supported and 3/4 for figure 15 prone without support. A total of 11 out of 12.
The afternoon was spent at Nee Soon Camp IMT. I managed to get a grouping size of 4.1cm during zeroing. Rather small I guess... Missed one shot in total. IMT was relatively easier compared to live shoot lo.
Night shoot was horrible... 0/8... the first time in my whole army life... a big fat zero for night shoot. Use LAD also didn't hit my target. I went for a reshoot, got IA, then didn't managed to find out why I got zero also. I only knew that I was aiming too high ba. I have this feeling that my LAD has a problem :/ Oh well...
It was past midnight before I had the chance to sleep.
ICT 2005 Day 2
Woke up early in the morning and the first activity of the day was to do a dry zeroing of my weapon. That took most of the morning. I went to the E-mart for the second time (ah, went once yesterday le). to get a pair of new running shoes. Hmmm, bought one that is half a size smaller than my existing pair.
The first part of the afternoon after lunch was rather relaxing. Dessert for lunch was honeydew. After a bus ride, I ended up at in Khatib Camp for my IPPT. Still didn't manage to pass my running... my timing was 13:34 mins... an estimated 1-minute improvement from the run last week. Quite a big improvement ba.
My first time experiencing the electronic version of the static stations. I normally take my test at Maju Camp which is still using the manual system of recording results. My first thought was that it was really intimidating. First time I felt so lousy taking the static stations. I'm usually very confident of my static stations. A rather novel experience ba. Fortunately, I managed to maintain my static station standard after expending considerably more energy than usual.
It was past dinner time when we returned. Dinner was packed... They have replaced the styrofoam boxes with microwave-able paper boxes. More compact and hygienic ba. A briefing at night and it was time for bed, but not before I ate my supper of two lotus paste buns and a can of 100 Plus. Replenish energy ah... backache, hand pain :x
ICT 2005 Day 1
First day of ICT. Only started packing at about 5.35am this morning, blogged an "I'll be away" entry, bathed, then left my home at 6.30am. Managed to get a cab right below my block. Heng ah, no need to walk to the taxi stand below the MRT station.
Reached camp rather early... My friend whom I shared the cab with had to get his hair cut for $5 although it was already rather short. So strict leh... not to mention having double standards when it comes to the officers' haircut (well, at least for my new PC). An obvious slope at the back was required... not just short hair.
Most of us had a surprise from one of my platoonmate... he brought a multiplug extension along :P Quite power. I think he brought a thermoflask along as well. Anyway, realised that the water cooler has a hot water dispenser as well. A pity that I did not bring my instant milk tea sachets along. If not can enjoy nice hot milk tea. Heh
CO parade... as usual, we were not sure which leg to bang. Every ICT also have this problem de. Ha. Anyway, it's the left leg, from one of my blog entries on the last ICT I had.
Lunch was western... not very nice though. The black pepper chicken leg was too dry le. Dinner wasn't good either... braised rice. Too dry. The fried chicken drumstick was too dry as well. Ehz, had a slice of papaya for dessert though. Perhaps that was the only nice part of dinner? :P
Nothing much was done after dinner. I went for an OTOT jog with some of my platoonmates. The rest of the time was spent talking in the bunk.
Ah... Oh, in the morning and afternoon, one of my platoonmates had enough time to tell me, in a rather detailed fashion, the storyline of the movie "Saw II". I think the plot is quite interesting. I could imagine that some parts will be gruesome and disgusting though.
A rather relaxing day ba... but I hurt the fleshy part of my right palm while assembling my M203 in the afternoon. Had weapon revision and test in the afternoon. It's a little swollen... quite painful :/ Hope it will get better tomorrow. First night... so I couldn't really fall asleep. Not tired enough I guess.
Away for ICT
Will be away for ICT from 12 - 17 December 2005.
Handwriting test?
A bit difficult to write with the mouse lah... This is my kiddish handwriting.

What does your handwriting say about YOU?
The results of your analysis say:
You plan ahead, and are interested in beauty, design, outward appearance, and symmetry.
You are a person who thinks before acting, intelligent and thorough.
You are diplomatic, objective, and live in the present.
You are not very reserved, impatient, self-confident and fond of action.
You enjoy life in your own way and do not depend on the opinions of others.
Piggy me
I slept till the afternoon today... a total of about 10 hours of sleep. My nights are days and my days are nights. Dunno if I'll be able to get used to sleeping early and waking early during ICT :/ Maybe I should sleep early tonight and wake up early tomorrow so that I can at least make use of the weekend to adjust my sleeping cycle a little.
Ehz, went to the wake again. This time go and be "waiter" because those praying aunties came down tonight to pray, then have to help set up the tables and get the food ready. They are not very professional though, those accompanying aunties...
It was about 11pm by the time I reached home. Watching my recorded "舞出彩虹" while blogging now. Hmmm, been wanting to put an image up. Ah, not my picture though. It's an animated GIF of Professor Snape of the Harry Potter series... someone used it as an LJ user pic. Lazy to upload to my webhost server using FTP... so uploaded the picture to my webhost server using Blogger. Now the picture is no longer animated... Oh well.
Mittwoch und Donnerstag
Well, haven't really been writing...
Wednesday, 7 December 2005
Hmmm, my third granduncle passed away in the afternoon. I'm not that close to him, so I don't really feel much towards his death. Not that I'm cold-blooded lah... just seldom meet him or talk to him.
Took my IPPT test at Maju Camp in the evening... Ah, failed as expected :x I can't run lah, if can run then pass le. Static stations have never been a problem... it's always the 2.4km run.
Anyway, here's my result:
Sit Up: 40
Broad Jump: 239cm
Chin Up: 8
Shuttle Run: 10.1s
2.4km Run: 14:17min
Well, hopefully will be able to run faster when I take IPPT again during my ICT next week. I need a 2min improvement to pass :P Now aching all over.
Thursday, 8 December 2005
Didn't do much today... went for dinner at Dawson's Place again. Ate rojak for "dessert"... didn't like the rojak kind of rojak, so I only requested for plain fried dough sticks. Went grocery shopping again as well. I think NTUC FairPrice earn a lot from me le :P
Ah, helped a friend cut hair. Erm, just use the shaver thingy to shave loh, but I used the attachment with the longest length lah, so not too short. I'm not a professional hair stylist, so my skills are so-so only. My friend's quite satisfied with his haircut though. Heng ah. But he did comment that he felt that it was a little too short at the back. Hmmm, I need to go get a haircut as well... get ready for ICT.
So fast going to be the end of another week le. Time flies...
Oh yar, anyone heard the Schnappi song? It's quite popular these days I think. It's in German and I understand most of it leh.
[Refrain]
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp
[Outro]
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp (schnapp!)
Schni Schna Schnappi (ja!)
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp (schnapp!)
Schni Schna Schnappi (mhmm!)
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp (ja!)
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi (hmm) Schnappi Schnapp
Gestern und Heute
Didn't do much yesterday... can't remember what I did. I slept quite a bit I think... and updated a few course webpages of the German module website. Well, haven't submitted my timesheet for the past work done also. Will need to go find that timesheet. Dunno where I put liao.
Today... woke up in the late morning and went to give my cousins tuition, after a break of about one month maybe. Well, not easy for them to start doing work after taking such a long break. Quite cooperative... my cousins. Didn't give me a hard time =) Won't be the same when school starts for them though.
Had some problems with the myFLASHbox website earlier on... lost some news entries... about 6 I think. Didn't backup the new ones... so lost them. Sianz. Anyway, I don't even know what those entries were about. Maybe one on the design competition, two on website downtimes... the most recent one was about some clarification stuff. Lazy to retype that. Don't know how the data disappeared also... funny thing to happen.
Taking IPPT tomorrow... think confirm fail ba. Ha
Star Awards 2005
A little overdue, but I guess I'll want to put this down on erm... "paper".
Anyway, watched the Star Awards 2005 on television on Sunday night. Maybe I'll just like to highlight one point ba... about Zoe Tay. I guess my impression of her was sort of destroyed in the few minutes she went on stage to "force" Christopher Lee to propose to Fann Wong. What's wrong with her??
I was thinking... that there wasn't much for the media to talk about since no one actually said anything worth talking about, so they asked Zoe Tay to go up to create some news. Haiz, destroyed my nice nice image of her. Tsk tsk. Totally incomprehensible... *shakes head*
The Weekend
Saturday, 3 December 2005
Hmmm, encountered some downtime with my Internet connection during one of the past nights. I think it took about 30 minutes to 1 hour for the connection to be resumed. I was rather pissed, so I tried calling up Singnet at 3am in the morning, only to find out that their helpdesk only opens till 12 midnight. That's crappy I think... since providing Internet services should be a 24-hour thingy. Does it mean that if the connection didn't resume, then I would have to wait till the next day to have the problem rectified?
Hmmm, went for a short swim in the afternoon, followed by lunch/dinner at Sumo-ya (dunno how to spell the shop name) at Clementi. The price is rather reasonable. Anyway, my friend and I ate quite a lot I think... fried toufu, seasoned octopus (they call it Il-Dako or something), Gyoza (think it's spelt this way), Ebi Curry Rice (I ate this) and Curry Udon (my friend ate this). It was a filling meal I guess =)
Followed my friend home... bought curry puffs back to eat. Nice, crispy curry puffs :P Watched the highlights of the sea games, then went home le.
Sunday, 4 Decemeber 2005
I went to church as usual... for my discipleship lesson. Didn't really feel like having a heavy lunch, so I ate dessert for lunch instead. Had a bowl of peanut soup with five glutinous rice balls with sesame fillings. Sesame is my favourite. I don't really like the other flavours although I will still eat them :P
It was already about 6pm by the time I reached home. I went over to Dawson's Place with a friend for dinner because I wanted to get some grocery from NTUC FairPrice. I ate mushroom minced meat noodles and my friend ate prawn noodles. The prawn noodle's soup is quite nice. My first time trying that stall. Heh
Ah, taking my IPPT test this coming Wednesday, so I went for a run at night. Hmmm, I think I will fail my test, given the speed at which I ran.

Ok, I don't think this would be a long entry... even though this is going to cover three days worth of activities.
Firstly, an announcement. Firefox 1.5 is out. It's supposed to be better I guess. So far so good =)

Well, let's see... I was supposed to join my coursemates for a session of night cycling, but I did not go in the end due to an unforeseen event. Yep, went over to a friend's place and stayed over instead, won't elaborate on the details.

Hmmm, I reached home in the afternoon. Ehz, let me see... what did I do... Oh yar, first of the month ah, so I did what I always do on the first of the month lo :P Anyway, nothing much done... downloaded and installed Firefox 1.5. Just happened to find out that it was out. Didn't go check on purpose.

Today... I woke up rather late since I slept late last night. Incorporated a voting system into the FLASHbox website. I took a nap in the late afternoon... dunno why so tired also. Mum cooked lunch today... she was clearing leave and so did not go work.
Oh yar, was really windy just now. Quite scary. Fierce wind and heavy rain... but only lasted for a while though. I think it's the first time in my life seeing such a fierce wind. Cannot imagine what happens when there is a hurricane or tornado.
