Pon & Zi
Eh... think I very the outdated. Only discovered about Pon & Zi this week. Ha. Anyway, I think the characters are cute... especially the things that they do in the "comic" pieces. My friend and I decided to emulate one of the more common Pon & Zi comic and the result is as follows :P

The original Pon & Zi image:

Can find more of Pon & Zi pics at its creator's website... Azuzephre.net
Oh, on a sidenote, my Citibank cards arrived yesterday. Quite efficient I would say. Heh. Can go eat Cafe Cartel le... got 10% discount. I like the Clear Plat card... very nice... but it's only free for a year.
Ah, the e-learning week has almost come to an end... what have I done so far... *ponders*
Some useful software
A quick update on some software that I find useful, now that I've got a bit of time to do some personal admin...
Stuffplug 3: A Windows Live Messenger add-on... allows one to increase character limit per post to 5000 characters. Allows one to hide the advertisement at the bottom of the window too. (Waited quite some time for this new version to be released...)
Free Desktop Clock: Modify the clock at the bottom right corner of your screen. Allows one to synchronise the computer time with the windows server and can even display date and day... and the seconds of the clock. Comes with quite a few nice skins.
Filezilla: Not sure if I've mentioned this before... but Filezilla is a good FTP program =]
I guess that's all for now...
PSS2 at the Singapore Indoor Stadium
Yea... managed to get tickets to Project SuperStar 2 Finals at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. My 2nd or 3rd time there I think (though for different events). Had initially forgotten that I've been there before. I only recalled when I reached there. Ha.
It was an interesting experience I would say. The sound system is way to powerful... so much so that I had to stuff tissue into my ears to be able to enjoy the music. The fact that the DJ compere (dunno who he is though) has a loud low booming voice didn't help. I think he's capable of causing migranes anytime.
Quite enjoyed the event, except for the loudness. Was especially touched when I heard Chen Weilian sing live. Really very very nice. Ha. Liked the duet sang by the two finalists too... 天天夜夜 by F.I.R. Free hair dye for everyone who attended the event, courtesy of Hoyu, the main sponsor. Most people got more than their share, since there were quite a lot of empty seats left in the end.
Second day of the e-learning week... so fast so fast.
Finally applied for the Citibank SMRT Visa Platinum card at Bugis MRT just now... quite efficient, compared to the time when I applied for another Citibank card online (till now still no news of the card >.<"). I applied for the card at around 1pm and received a call at 3.45pm saying that it's ready for collection. I got them to mail it to my place instead... so I guess I'll have to wait a few more days. Applied for the Clear Platinum card as well. Can get discount at Cafe Cartel lo... heh.
Practicum posting out...
So much for wanting to update my blog with the happenings for the past few weeks. Just couldn't overcome the force of procrastination. Ha. Anyway, practicum posting is out... not sure if it will be ok for me to reveal what school I'm going to. Apparently, a lot of people are rather secretive as to what school they will be going to or are already teaching at. I wasn't fortunate enough to go back to Henderson Sec... my school for the one month experience before going to NIE. No vacancies for a Physics/Maths teacher I guess. Hopefully, my practicum experience will be an enjoyable one.
Wanted to write about something which happened earlier this week... Monday to be exact. Not a very nice experience. It really made me think about how I would want to treat my students when I start teaching. It was a project consultation with a lecturer of mine, who didn't really want to listen to what I had to say... too engrossed in editing my proposal I guess. Anyway, the whole experience was a lousy one... really felt as though my work (though not much) was crushed and thrown into the bin like a piece of useless paper. Spoiled the rest of my week. Ha. Fortunately, the Wednesday consultation was much better.
The coming week is e-learning week... which means that I do not need to go to school for lessons. It does not mean that I have no work though. Otherwise, it would have defeated the purpose of "e-learning". Time to finish up all the work that has been accumulated over the past month. It has only been a month... but it felt as though months have passed. Weird... just weird.
