Das Wochenende

The weekend was far less busy...

The only unexpected thing that happened was that I went over to a friend's place to help him with his computer. Yea... he plugged in a new DVDRW drive, then his Internet stopped working. I reckoned that he accidentally loosened his Ethernet card or something. Anyway, went over to help fix the problem. I think his computer didn't meet the requirements of the DVDRW drive, so in the end it didn't really function properly. Couldn't read a lot of CDs.

Couldn't wake up in time for Church on Sunday... but went down for lesson though. Dropped by Queensway Shopping Centre on my way home to get waffles. Heavy rain... my track shoes and socks were rather wet by the time I got home. Met up with that friend again at Queenstown MRT Station and he passed me his DVDRW drive on his way to work.

I spent some time testing it and found that it could work with my computer... so it should be that the minimum requirements for the DVDRW drive were not met by his computer ba. The DVDRW drive was not able to detect TDK's DVD+RW though... hmm... maybe need to wait for some firmware upgrade or what ba. Funny thing is that my DVDRW drive (which is older) could read it.
