Not giving up
MrBasic is still not giving up.
Why can't he stop modifying my version of the smiley system and go modify the free one instead? Well, the answer is because it's not that easy to modify the free one because the free one has some bugs which are difficult to rectify. It's easier to make one that is already working look different isn't it. No matter what, as long as he is still modifying my modified version, I will keep haunting him.
And he is so childish as to impersonate me... Why would I say that his shoutbox is cool? I'm not so magnanimous.
Hmmm, do help by going over to his site and shouting the following:

don't track or haunt him forever. it will do nothin beneficial for you. he's taken it off on a tangent, you need to take yours off on another.
think about the things you can do to improve on your box. things like ability to block certain ip from posting (like how i do so for my comment spam), protection of email from spammers etc. or... better templates? best... a NEW SET of ICONS. or icons which the user can load in his/her admin panel. how about automated refresh, at a user preset time? things like that.
anythin along those lines you can improve (since you are more familiar of shoutbox than i am), you can leave him bitin the dust.

just took another look and thought about the whole issue:
his box and your box are not cosmetically the same (eg the 4 round icons next to the text entry). so he can argue on non-similarity. i think it all boils down to that set of square icons which turned you 'up' big time. so move away from that , and think about ways to counter the issue. like overhaulin the icons, which will set you apart from his proggie.
another thot: how about changing colour for any highlighted word? somethin like neon light colour changes. that'd be fun. hah.

law > Oh well, there's nothing I can do about it. Yep, will move on. I've wasted enough time on this. A valuable lesson learnt, about people, about life.
xh > Yar... FLASH decompilers should be banned. They endanger the intellectual property of people. Stick to a PHP or ASP one ba, at least those can't be decompiled.

Well, FLASH is for interface only ba... Nice also no use... Got despicable people around.
