QCM520, QED520 and GESL dinner

Well, today is quite a busy day for me, with two lessons in school and a dinner gathering.

Ah, had my Maths test this morning. Tough. I couldn't remember some facts (due to last minute studying) and there were some questions which I totally had no idea how to go about doing. As usual, I was careless, for the last question, which was actually a simple question. Poor time management results in less-than-desired results.

There's this class rule that anyone who is the late and the last to reach the Maths class will have to sing a song to the whole class. Well, I've been late, but I don't remember being the last person to reach. My tutor hasn't been enforcing this rule and he mentioned in the last lesson that he's going to do it this lesson. Somehow, I must have been late quite a few times, that he had the impression that there was once when I was late and the last to be in class (which I totally had no recollection of). So... I'll have to sing a song to the class... this coming Friday. There are supposedly two others and we're supposed to sing together, but... I actually prefer to sing alone :P "断点" will be a nice song. Ha. Tsk... must be in time for the rest of the lessons... I don't want to be accused of being last. This time, I'll take it as it is, since I really don't remember... but I'm quite sure I've never been last before.

Lunch at NTU Canteen A I think, followed by my Educational Psychology I module. It's more of an interactive session with the tutor. Part lecture, part discussions and sharing. I went over to the library to get some work done after my Ed Psych module, before heading down to Jurong Point Fish & Co for the GESL dinner. My first time using the computer cluster as well. It's quite convenient... if there are any available workstations that is. I went over the other day and all the stations were occupied.

So... what's GESL? GESL is short for Group Endeavours in Service Learning. It's basically a non-graded module which all student teachers have to go through... coming up with a community service project and learning from the experience. Today's gathering was a get-to-know-one-another-better session. There are 24 of us in the group. We brainstormed on the possible things that we could do and chatted about general
get-to-know-one-another-better stuff, but just with the few people whom we were sitting near. There's no table big enough for 24 people and even if there is, it will be impossible to communicate with people at the far ends.

Tomorrow... just one lesson in the evening, from 4.30pm to 7.30pm, followed by tuition at my cousins' place. Busy evening and night lo.

Service Learning is a great concept. Very good for CIP and promoting values in students.
