Lappie Woes
My laptop is dead... after about four years of unfailing service, with one or two months of old age symptoms, my laptop is dead.
The previous few weeks of seemingly ok functioning was just εε θΏη § I guess. It started behaving weirdly about one or two months ago, with the display being reluctant to show anything. Then suddenly, it was ok again, until today.
When the power button is pressed, the display blinks for a split second, the laptop fan spins and the harddisk shows some activity... after which one can only hear whirring of the laptop fan and nothing else. Once in a while, I'll be able to successfully get it working, but... the display would be totally erm, "screwed".
Should I repair it? Perhaps not ba... I'll just try to retrieve my data. I'll bring it over to the Fujitsu Service Centre one of these days.
On a sidenote: It's time to get a new lappie!

So qiao ah. My bro's lappie now in ICU. The internal fan is throwing a tantrum after being abused for 4 years by my bro and then suddenly being left alone for 2 weeks lol.
Boon
Ah well, four years le... expected it to die anyway.
Good grief my lappie has served me well for these four years and it's going to serve me on my job. Hopefully I don't overwork it haha.
Well, think my problem was more of a wear-and-tear problem. Not really of overuse. Opening and closing the laptop lid all the time wore out the wire I guess.
